There are very few rules.  The only rule is, no posting of porn.... that's not what the site is about.  I forgot to disable that stupid promotional membership.  Now I can't change membership levels via admin.  Time to go db diving.

It actually looks pretty good.   What is your business model?   Advertising supported?   Might as well get an ad server running on that site - it is the kind of topic that will attract traffic.

Business model? Can't say that I have one.  The only goal at present, is to get as many members as possible, and as much content as possible.  As far as advertising, that comes later.  It never made sense to me, to advertise anything to a minuscule audience, and I don't want to do anything to turn people away.  I believe that too much advertising too soon, is a turn-off for most people.

The site is mainly intended to be a source of humor, but definitely not the intellectual variety.  I figure the world has enough dating sites, and porn sites, but could always use another humor site.  If the site becomes successful, I can think of all sorts of marketing one-liners for potential advertisers.

I use only a minimum number of modules.  I didn't want the sound module, but couldn't uninstall it because of interdependencies.  I don't use RMS, and don't have any messengers enabled, and A/V chat is the only flash app enabled.  It's really a bare-bones site that isn't going to cost a lot to maintain, and it will use minimal server resources.

I paid $22.50 for the template, and added a new jquery promo slider (I added this to the code sharing forum), so that promo image names, titles, and descriptions will help with SEO.  I don't plan on adding any additional modules... don't see the point, since it's a site where the focus is on the uploaded content, and not member to member interactions.  The worst problem I have right now, is that I can seem to upload photos with my iPhone.  I don't know if it's just me, or a problem with the site.  It seems as though every time I urgently need a Dolphin feature to work, I am let down.  It's frustrating, because if there was ever a Dolphin site where mobile uploads are important, this is it.

Yeah as a new user on your site with no pre-existing photo albums it's impossible to upload new pics via the iPhone (4) app... the screen just shows 'Reload' in the top-right corner.

Mind you, I was also unable to join your site (and our own site) using the 'oo' iPhone app. You need to join first using a non-mobile-device... then login using your details with the app. Seems a bit.... what's the word... shit.

I'm going to upgrade the OS on my phone to see if it helps, but I see no reason why it should.  If the app doesn't work on my current OS, I shouldn't have been able to install it in the first place. 

As I said in an earlier post, the latest iOS on an iPhone 4 with the latest 'oo' (what an odd name), allows you to upload images to pre-existing albums. However, it doesn't allow you to upload new images if you're a new user with no previously created albums. Nor does it allow you to join a site, via the app.

I'd assume the user was already a member of the site before downloading the app.

OK, with the latest OS installed on my iPhone, the app doesn't crash anymore.  If the only works with the latest OS, it should be made a prerequisite to installation.

It occurs to me though, that I need to work on the flow of things, since as JW pointed out, visitors cannot join with the mobile app.  It would make sens to me, that when a visitor to the site clicked on one of the mobile app links, it redirected them to a join page designed especially for mobile devices.  Then once the join page was submitted, the user would be redirected to the app page in iTunes or the Android market, where they could install the app on their mobile device, then log in.... all in the same contiguous motion.

Hmmmmm..... I wonder how spammers find me before Google does.  Hmmmmm
