Module problem - Binary solution

There was a thread that suggested uploading as binaries to solve the problem with a few of the modules (wouldnt upload). Sorry if its a noob question, but what do you mean by binary upload?

Thanks.

It is a setting within your FTP client.  Most know which file is appropriate for ASCII or Binary.  However, Filezilla on my end didn't seem to know it when doing some of mine.  (Filezilla a great FTP program cross platform and free).

Typically, text files go ASCII and others Binary such as images or sounds.

One way I found to fix some of that issue is if you have Cpanel, you can upload your file directly to your root directory (or wherever you wish to install Dolphin), and use their file manager to unzip/untar the archive and it will put it in a directory named with the same as the archive.  From there it is a matter of moving the files to where you want from their file manager.

Great. Thank you for the help. I use Filezilla as well.

Can I get the individual modules from Trac, or is there another location that I should download them from?

I would just unzip the downloaded archive of 7 beta 1 that is in the blog posts and then do them from there.

Filezilla will let you override the filetypes to 100% binary if needed.
