Modify/edit landing page for new profiles

(Sorry for a bit of a double post: I posted this under "Answers" earlier.. the forum hadn't been working for me. Anyway, my earlier Q had the wrong title and I haven't got a response.)

The welcome page where a new user lands after submitting his/profile says some things that aren't applicable to my site (e.g. sale of contact information). Where can I edit it? I've run over the Admin several times and can't find it... and it doesn't seem to be hardcoded into any template page, so far as I can tell.

Thanks in advance!

You should be able to find these in the language settings.

Login to your admin panel, click settings the Language Settings.

In the search string, type a few of the words that are currently on the page (ex. on the about use page). .This will bring up where it language string. Just click edit and overwrite the code you want to cage. You can do this for pretty much anything on your site.

Ah, thanks! I certainly wouldn't have thought of that.

Seems to me these "formal" pages should have editing capability similar to what's provided for email templates.

Anyway, will give it a go.

The language keys are the formal editing capabilities.  It places all of them into one location, has an extremely functional search capability and works quite well if you just give it a try instead of whining about it.

No need to be rude. I didn't whine, and I said I'd give the instructions a go (which I did).
