Is there a mod for blogs that will allow one to click on "insert image" and have it access the user's photo albums? If not, is anyone interested in creating such a mod?

It's more fluid to use an on-the -fly image upload like Moxiecode's ImageManager. There's an integration here: http://www.boonex.com/m/ImageManager_plugin_integration
I'm sure you're familiar with the ImageManager plugin, so I won't go over the details. My opinions expressed on this site, in no way represent those of Boonex or Boonex employees. |
Yes, and I have thought of doing just that; at least it does make it easier for them. Some members want to be able to use photos in their albums (and of course they can just upload the ones they want to use to the image manger thing). I understand that photos are stored in a single dump for all members. I did not know if someone had modded Dolphin to allow access to the photo album. Of course I have told members they can go to the photo view, right click on the photo, copy the URL and use it in their posts. The problem is most people are just too lazy to want to go to that trouble. Geeks, making the world a better place |
RE: The problem is most people are just too lazy to want to go to that trouble. Then they should just sit on the couch and watch Mary Tyler Moore reruns or something. How hard can it be to have two browser tabs open? You don't even have to worry about the url.... it's a simple cut and paste. It doesn't get any easier than that. I have to agree with you on this one. The problem is that a lot of the members have little to no understanding of computers. I had someone that thought if she disconnected from the internet, that her downloaded files would disappear. She actually unplugged her cable modem to check for his. I kid you not, true story. I decided to add a image manager to TinyMCE and they can store images they want to use in blogs in personal folders just for that purpose. Geeks, making the world a better place |
