It says that because the image it retrived with a php script. So rather than have a php file with a filename passed on the url, it uses the friendly URL version. There is noting wrong with that url. It's normal.

that friggin URL is not normal. its a pain in the pinky toe. who wants a friggin M for module anyhow....why does it have to be named anything, why couldnt it just have been domain.com/photos

Well i was looking to explain the get_image in the url. the m was already explained by someone else.

Anyhoo.

I know a lot of people want that m gone, but i don't believe it will be that easy. A .htaccess change most likely won't be enough. I think a lot of modules will have to be changed as well becuse quite a few have urls in the code.

domain.com/events

Where the files are stored was already told to you above.

For photos.

/modules/boonex/photos/data/files

For avatar images.

/modules/boonex/avatar/data/images

There is no folder for albums. All photos are in the same folder stated above. Albums are in the database. Just a entry show which photos belong in what album.

But as long as you imported your database, that should not be a issue.

All your photos must be uploaded to the proper folder. The folder must be writable, and all uploaded photos to make sure it is right need to also be set writable so when a member deletes a photo it can be removed. Which is actually a hack. The proper permissions for the photos is suppose to be 755, but should all have a file ownership of the apache webserver. That changed can only be done via root shell access, so it is just easier to set them all to 777 permissions instead.

Look at host tools in admin panel to check green. Permissions will have impact on site.

Maybe worth checking your 'sys_albums' & 'sys_albums_objects' sql databases to see if they are populated?

Hello, test this,

That's great.  Now if you could just send this suggestion of yours four years into the past, it might do some good.

It's funny how you come in and try to degrade and belittle members for posting on older topics.

You alone when making post go on a rant when others post non helping post like yours.

Or better yet scold them for posting on old topics; or suggesting they wouldn't look stupid if they just searched...

Your supposed to be a "moderator" someone to look to in help... what a joke.

Besides, we do have people still running 7.0 sites that will have difficulty upgrading them.  In fact, there was a site running 6.0 and quite happy with the site; it was doing what they needed it to do.  They came in last year needing help because their host had upgraded php and it was causing issues.

We had a member come in just recently needing help with a 7.0 site; they had too much in stake, too many code changes, to think about upgrading.  They needed help with a problem and I don't see why the community could not try to help them.  I don't have a lot of experience with the older versions; however, there are those on here with years of experience.  Expecting help with an older site should not be out of the question.

Newt, I'm just not a person that sees rainbows and flowers in every silly little thing like you do.  There have been numerous comments, by quite a few members here, about bumping age old topics for no sensible reason.  If I do the same, and choose to add a little color to that comment, that's something you'll just have to learn to live with, Grow a thicker skin FFS.

So, they are wrong for posting on an old topic that they searched for.

Can't win for loosing, damned if they do and damned if they don't.

And, what is a new member to do like this person. What a way to welcome new members.

Your bitter view of the world or simple instructions to someone new instead of a smart ass comment like yours.

My skin is just fine, I been dealing with you all along right.

Don't let his post count fool you, he's been around since 2010. I've gotta be honest, the people who bump these really old threads drive me crazy too.
