 The "I have the right to distribute . . ." checkbox comes and goes with the tide. After reading this very old post, it seems it works depending on what uploader you use. https://www.boonex.com/forums/topic/I-have-the-right-to-distribute-these-Sounds-.htm It's there if you choose the Regular Uploader and disappears if you select HTML5. May I ask, what is the logic behind that? As I need it and I'd like to use the HTML5 loader, can some kind person tell me how to get it back? |
It is a cover your arse rule. Best to just have it in the ToS. And if in the US, register with the US Copyright and Patent Office. I am thinking it was not added to the flash because the flash is a quick multi-object uploader. One could also add the CYA to the page itself. Geeks, making the world a better place |
It's probably more important in AUS so I may just add it to the page. I thought it was in the flash module, but not the HTML5. I stand corrected. |

Hi AlexT and many thanks for placing it on Github. I think it's something that should be added rather than removed. Piracy is becoming an issue in Australia and this my give the site owner some protection. More importantly, it may make people think twice before posting. Johnk42 |
