On the instant messenger, if a person is offline how do you get the box back up too see previous conversations ???

You have to wait till they are online again AFAIK.

HMMM that is a right pain, looks like i'll have to hack the database to get the info they wrote on there. 

Is anyone up for making a mod that uses the inbox as the messaging system, like FB ??? 

I think with the current state of the messaging system something like that would be a disaster :)

They need to add thread support first.

I think "ESASE" simple messenger will allow you to see conversations you previously had with friends

I would check it out first thing
