Membership Level - basic question

Hi everyone, and happy holidays!

I'm trying to get my Boonex 6.1.6 set up, and I see that there are three 'pre-set' membership levels (Non-Member, Promotion, and Standard).  I created two other membership levels because they allow me to add pricing options and to also activate/deactivate them as well.    But I do see that when I try and make a test membership, it is defaulting in admin to either the non-member, promotion, or standard levels.

Does anyone know how to use the three pre-exisitng membership levels, either how to activate them or add pricing to them?  Or on the flip side, is there a way to only use the two membership levels I created and tie a new member (or their membership upgrade) to those?

Thanks very much!

i believe that in 6.1.6 you have to take off the free mode. basically every member that registers will be a standard user, and you set the membership level access based on that membership, in their profile they will be offered to upgrade to a paid status and you allocate what access they have with each membership level you have created.

you cannot set pricing on the default membership levels, you can take all access priveleges away and only allow limited or very limited access to areas of the site.

You can edit the .php files and turn off as an example promotion.  To do this go to http://www.wingrep.com/download.htm  Once you install windows grep, you can search for as in this example promotion, and it will list all php files that have this.  Should be the activate.php file, but maybe more.  You can turn them off and see what happens.  Then do your own.
