Hi,
There is no place to disable "Feature" blogs for members. This should be admin only, right?
Also, as an admin, I cannot seem to feature any blogs by clicking "Feature." where are the permissions for this action?
Thanks,
Scott Gerling

try looking in the admin panel, settings and membership levels There are no settings in Membership Levels for enabling or disabling standard members to "Feature" their own posts. Only admin or premium memberships should have these controls. Any other suggestions? Thanks,

"Feature" feature in blogs works different way. It marks blog post as featured in user's blog only - not site wide. Then featured blog posts are displayed in special block on user's blog home page. Rules → http://www.boonex.com/terms |

Hi Alex, I wish it worked this way. I tested it using a testuser account. I featured a blog as a standard member and it does feature the blog site wide. Do you have any other suggestions as to how this works? Thanks for your help! humbucker socialiife.com -the most tricked out D7 site ever tweaked. A Direct Social Marketing Site. |
I suggest to remove "featured posts" menu item from menu builder for now, in future versions this page will be removed: http://www.boonex.com/trac/dolphin/ticket/2187

Hey Alex,
OK, but how would I allow a premium member's blog entries to be accessed site wide, while still giving standard members bolg rights yet unable to feature them? Sorry if that was confusing... Blogs are for users only. If you need to feature some content site wide - then use News and/or Articles modules. Rules → http://www.boonex.com/terms |

"Feature" feature in blogs works different way. It marks blog post as featured in user's blog only - not site wide. Then featured blog posts are displayed in special block on user's blog home page. This works provided that these steps are taken: Go to D7 Admin>Modules>Blogs>Settings. Uncheck "Enable AutoApproval of Blogs." That makes it so Standard Members must receive pending approval by Admin to be "Featured" as a site wide featured blog. With this correct setting, blogs can then be approved, disapproved or even deleted by Admin. socialiife.com -the most tricked out D7 site ever tweaked. A Direct Social Marketing Site. |
