Match emails

Wow - how do I get my site's match emails under control?  Does it send an email every time someone new registers? Can I change it to only send ONE email a week - that contains all of the matches?  Its like its on crack and going wild.... as a member - and not just the owner - of my site, I've received 16 match emails in 2 days.  Its like my own site is spamming me.

For now, I disabled the 'cupid mails' and the 'matchmaking' -- until I figure out which one is doin the damage.  Please advise.

Hello!

You can increase "Send a cupid mail if the recently joined profile matches more than this percentage" parameter if now you have too much joins with similar percent of concordance.

Hi Leonid :-)

Lot of Dolphin users already reported that Cupid emails feature doesn't work as it has to work :-(

I don't know if you have solved that problem in 6.1.4, but as for me and my 6.1.1 I still cannot solve this problem even with the help of one of the best expert (AntonLV).

Well improve this settings - one of the possible solution send cupid mail only to active members (for example, which visit site in last 30 days).

@ Leonid

IMHO better to send cupid mails to members who was not active during the 30 last days for them to come back to the site :-))

I unchecked the 'send cupid emails' and 'matchmaking' under the Admin panel - it still sent the emails to all members.  I had to remove the email jobs from the cron jobs. Hopefully that works but I hate to have to disable it completely.
