Mass Mailer

Is there a mass mailer like in D Pro?

Boonex "might" create one soon.

My mistake for thinking something as simple as a mass mailer would be included.

How can you build a member driven site, without one?

Should be easy enough to add a open source mass mailer; connect to the database, pull out the user names and email address and add them to the mass mailer to send out the emails.

When i get a working copy of trident ... i'll come up with something. 

or include the zip you used if you still have it. 

The github version has errors in it at the moment.

 I know I can do something like that it is just riduclus it's not there. There is the message system, when you start typing a name it populates the list.

Like type "A" and all the members with "a" in their name come up.

If it can do that why not an option on that screen to select all?

 The copy I have is from online.me, not Git.

You can get it there, version 8.0.1 is the current one.

You have a point Newton; if the messaging system is already there, then why not have a mail to all for admins.  I have not done more then just install Trident so I am in the dark to what is there and what is not there.

 I didn't think you had, you seem so busy with D7 and it's issues.

I'm really liking the simplicity of it, but yet still very powerful in the backend I'm finding. That is my favorite part.

For what I'm doing with it, not a dating site, it's perfect!

It's from the 7.1.x days so it may have some bugs...

I created an internal work around using the Organizations module actually.

its a module that grabs all active members email address from sys_accounts... 

For under 2000 recepients you can use mailchimp or something like that.  We plan a mailer app for trident that's a bit more than simply a mass mailer.  Idea is to create segments and track able mails outs integrated with convos.
