Nathon, I have tried contacting Martinboi many times... I am having a database issue once a week every week. Any help would be appreciated!!

stuart, try to edit the tags table, and remove the apostrophe from the word 'fee's' i dont think this is a problem with the membership levels, this is a problem with the character not stripping from tag's When a GIG is not enough --> Terabyte Dolphin Technical Support - Server Management and Support |
Thanks DosDawg, I went into sys_tags and removed the apostrophe. Hopefully that will work! I have been getting these errors once a week every week for some 5 or 6 weeks. I don't know what has happened to Troy. I hope he is well. Regards, Stuart There are none so blind as those that will not see. |

stuart i think your problem is the ( ' ) in the tags. you see where it declares the issue at near 's at line
i dont think the issue is with the subscriptions module, since the tags are default dolphin. see if you can remove the 's on the tag? Database errors... Martinboi where are you?? Database error in Asia Connect Ongoing...

stuart, it seems last time you had a database error on the subscriptions module, it was complaining then about the ( ' ) apostrophe in the word. generally these are stripped or escaped, im going to test this if i get a moment. in the interim, i think we need to call on a few to help us get this sorted.

How does the mod handle members who wants to downgrade or are cancelling their membership? |
i have never seen anybody try to downgrade, though i am sure its possible?
when that would happen, i am certain there are not any automation steps in place for that. so you as the site admin and monetary recipient would need to make the adjustments manually. How does the mod handle members who wants to downgrade or are cancelling their membership?

Hello Dolphin_Jay, Yes, I clear the caches every time I install or alter something. I am still getting the database errors once every week, exactly the same problem. I am hoping Martinboi will eventually respond. He has not so far (he did initially, but has not been heard from since). There are none so blind as those that will not see. |
Stewart, from the looks of your post here, it would at first glace appear that you were saying you have had this same error since May, and that there has been no resolve for this problem.
if you are getting the same error, where it complains about tags, then you would need to clean those up. since you didnt include the error you are getting this time, then there is no true way to provide any direction.

just got another error email, that is understood, but what does the error say. these database errors lead you most of the time to the issue.

The real trick is getting him to add you to the licensing server. If he does his usually trick again then the moderators here should take action against him. Im afraid that looks like the case. I took steps to open a dispute before after purchasing this mod 3 times... and having none of the URLs work that it was supposed to be licenced for. Could not get hold of Mboi for the life of me, direct pms, using his 'support forum', email etc etc etc... went on for months with no reply. Then got a mod involved and surprise surprise, Mboi answers within the same day. His reply though was that he activated the URLs on his licence server when I bought them and the case was closed. If he did, then 1 - why could he not just reply to me if so simple, and 2 - they still didnt work!
At this point I gave in and hacked the mod to make it work. Conclusion - get a mod involved you will get a reply. Mboi should include this procedure of only contacting via a boonex moderator within the sales bit on the module page! I myself have reached out to him on several occasions and he has responded within 30 minutes. Thanks @Zarcon for the information. I will try it shortly to see if I can get it up and running. I have tried to contact this vendor on a daily basis since purchasing the mod and the only message I got from him was thanking me for the payment, then nothing. I really think the people at Boonex should ban people like this from selling on the platform. It seems like most people who buy from this vendor have issues. |

Clement There is a time limit for requesting refunds through paypal, so you may want to go ahead and initiate that refund request if you are nearing the deadline. little tip... you can remove the code quite safely that calls back to 'harvest media' servers... - problem solved. I don't think I've seen an issue keep repeating itself so often and over such a long period of time as this one!
I bought the module 3 times (being an honest buyer...) only to find that none of the URLs it was licensed for would work. Got ignored for many many months trying to get support, as soon as a mod tried, he got instant reply! Unfortunately the reply was that 'my licenses work' and that was that. They didn't. So I removed the license lock, module works fine.
It's a great module, works really well, just the stupid license lock calling back to his servers that messes things up, even for legit customers!.... |

Hey everyone, I am here to support the modules and have released an update that does remove the check for a valid license from the memberships module. I've been busy with my Rails agency and haven't had time to work on Dolphin very much. I will keep the modules up to date with the current versions and plan and rolling out some new features/modules soon. BTW: thanks to everyone who purchased a license.
