Manually add db information

First i need to know if it possible to locate your MySQL password for the database?

When I upgraded I lost the random password to my old database from softaculous.

Now I have two DB, the old one is the one I want to use

But I have no idea where the config file is to manually change the info and
I need to know if that DB password is recoverable or if I'm wasting time.

The original and latest install was done through softaculous. So I have no access to the DB info from the original install. It just shows the db info for the current installation.

I have also tried importing the tables from the old to the new. The back up size is 1.5 gig is the file to large? cause im having no luck at all.
