Managing Group Forum subscriptions

Since Forums appear to be a much more independent module than other Dolphin modules, Forum topic subscriptions aren't managed using Manage Subscriptions on the Account page (first attached image). Forum topic subscriptions are managed separately, from the Forum / Subscriptions menu item (second attached image).

If this weren't difficult enough for users, Group Forum topic subscriptions aren't managed in either place, but from the topic itself (third attached image).

There must be reasons for this, but user experience is clearly not one of them. Ideally all subscriptions would be managed in one place, but if this isn't possible, can Group Forum topic subscriptions be added either to Group subscriptions or to Forum topic subscriptions?

Thank you for the detailed explanation:

AlexT, I'm having the same issues. It would make sense to have subscriptions and notifications merged and enhanced. Covering all subscriptions and thus showing the matching notifications on one page.

Do you have any ETA on the development of the issue 200?

Cheers!

It's set for the next major release which will not be implemented not earlier than in 3 month.

Hi AlexT

Thanks for your ETA... even though it's quite far out.

Any chance of getting a fix on this before hand as a module update of the forum maybe?

The issue of not being able to upload a picture which is then added to the post (and my other issue with the attachments) is making the forum somewhat useless at the moment.

Thanks and cheers!

Even if we fix this problem in the repository then it still will be not easy to apply the changeset to 7.3.x branch, since next major version is already modified quite a lot.

Below is the legacy version of the Boonex site, maintained for Dolphin.Pro 7.x support.
The new Dolphin solution is powered by UNA Community Management System.
