Man Of Teal and UNA

Well, so far Man Of Teal has really grown a robust membership and the new UNA has worked well for my format.

Keeping the site very simple is the key to growth IMO.

I'm sharing the albums module page here showing work done by members of the gaming server.

Not sure how many of you here have ever heard of Roller Coaster Tycoon video game, it has been reborn as Open Source and multiplayer added.

UNI is far more easier to use and manage than Dolphin was for me. Stripped of useless modules keeps the site streamlined and on point.

I did remove the splash page I used, I found it was stunting the new memberships.

The numbers...

There is a current slump as I have garnered most players from all other servers. I expect the rate to remain the same. Money is earned via google ads to support server cost.

I really am thinking of converting my remaining D.P sites to UNA.

I'm willing to help others with the learning curve of Studio.

Hello, congratulations for your site. I agree with you for the splash pages, it's nice but not effective. Members prefer to see what happens on the site in general.

Friendship requests are visible without being logged in.

Thanks for sharing, it's an old game, I did not know it existed yet.

I really think the simplicity of UNA  or the complexity has really helped me tune my site to the members needs.

I have a small audience but steady growth, I do have to give credit to the new platform for my success so far.

Bounce rates have dropped dramatically.

Really like your latest homepage setup and the main menu arrangement.

At some point, I'd like to add "mixes" for page builder and allow for A/B testing different mixes using google analytics. Would be interesting to see which setups perform better and lead to higher engagement.

 Thanks, it's crazy low but also the game servers are the draw. 

They visit a worldwide list of game servers, "Roller Coaster Tycoon" which is of course open source now, a 17 year old game with a reawakening to say.

I was lucky to catch it when it went multiplayer and a community was needed.

Tied with Discord Gaming Chat which looks just like a version of Chat+ so there was no need to tell members how to use it! 

I have learned also less is really more!

Albums > used all the time.

Events> just started with great turn out. Seems competition games are very popular.

Conversations> extensive use!

Forum> steady growth.

System wide emailing> totally missing. The biggest missing module IMO! 

There is Mailchimp integration for this. 

 I appreciate that but of course API is not included for the free version, so useless for the beginner like me.

No need to spend $10 a month for that service. Hopefully there will be modules made by others. Dolphin Jay made one but seems not willing to support it now.

We work around these short comings and make it work with 4th party help. 

Mailchimp is free for 2000 subscribers and 25000 emails per month. I don't see any limitation on using API in free version.
