Making Groups Private

I'm looking to do a couple of things with Dolphin that I haven't quite figured out yet. Specifically I'd like to create a network that is really just a collection of groups (rather than one big network - i.e. more like Ning than Facebook).

To do this I'd need Dolphin to be able to do the following:

Allow Group creators to be the only ones to approve members (or even better, have the group vote on new members)

Hide an individual's group memberships from others

Default group creation choices to hidden=yes and open join=no (or better yet, not offer options)

Allow only group members to see group events (I don't even know if events are linkable to groups - are they?)

Any pointers on how to make those things work?

How good are you at php?

I thought so, suggest you head over to jobs or expertzzz and get this done.  Way to much work to explain it all here.

Below is the legacy version of the Boonex site, maintained for Dolphin.Pro 7.x support.
