Lost abandoned modules, why can't we fix these?

it has a great mobile side locations module; it needs work but how come no other vendor can do this?

For me, mobile locations with the events at them was so promising and then poof, gone.

I can't believe you guys do not see the potential of this modules mobile abilities, maybe it's just me.

I don't have such mobile devices; poor people can not afford such expensive toys.  Therefore, I can not comment on this topic except to say why I can not comment on it.

 Have you ever checked out Virgin Mobile? My phone cost $29.99 and the service is $35 a month. It can do anything an Apple product can do.

i second that...   Virgin Mobile is the way to go.  a.k.a sprint .... 

I am sure other vendors can do it if they wanted to but don't.

I agree. I do not have any of those toys either.

I have been living below federal poverty level for several years now. These are luxuries to me that i simply cannot afford.

Besides. Up until a year ago i was living in a town that have no cable tv or cell service. Where i am there are still plenty of towns like that. In fact, i am still half partner in a business that does not make a profit that sells dialup internet access and there are still plenty of people using it because there is nothing else available.

So. To many people assume everyone has these devices, and just as many assume everyone has high speed internet too. Guess that's what happens when you grow up in a big city.

To me that is even out of my reach.

 no, that is not it. It does somewhat work with 7.1.4 and the mobile app.

The screenshots are from an SVN pull mobile app about a week old with the module running and it shows (locations with the ability to add them via mobile) on the mobile app as you see pictured.

I can not afford that! Which is why I am putting up with google voice and my phone not ringing half the time; the PBX went belly up; power rect went out and there is not one to be found on the planet; not even mouser, and it was a job trying to find memory that would work because the updates to the OS and PBX in a Flash needed a gig of ram.

My work computer, the one that I do everything on, was built by me in 2005; single core 64 bit AMD proc, three gigs of ram top is all the board will support.  I have had to replace the hard drive and the DVD burner and the power supply went about five years ago and now the card reader has gone.  I was lucky when the Video card went out just within the warranty.  It is getting very difficult to do any upgrades on it due to lack of drivers; I doubt I could go to Windows 8 even if I wanted to; yes, I run windows because certain manufacturers won't port to linux and the apps are not stable under WINE.  When I built the system I used a top of the line motherboard at the time; yet, I worry that it will go out on me and leave me without the power to work.  I have some old systems here, mainly old 500 meghz systems that my brothers scrapped out and gave me.  I would hate to have to go to them but building a new system at this time in this economy is not feasible.

Which means you are too poor to get a subsidy for healthcare insurance; you don't make enough money.  Yet that bloke making 45 grand a year is going to get his healthcare insurance subsidised.  Isn't the USA grand?

I've made lots of sites thats have all done well short term... Im one of those 'ideas' people who could be running dozens of sites at the same time if I had the time to do it!... Would be a killer team ;-)

Seriously though, I am looking to collaborate with a couple of people at the mo just to put some sites out there that could turn into passive earners... sometimes working with others gets things done quicker than going solo.

Sorry to detract from the post topic Newton! It does look very interesting... I've never used the mobile app so not noticed this being removed. Im trying to use responsive these days to cater for all devices and not offer a half version of a full site on a mobile device!

 I agree, it needs updating but it has so much for it.

 GG, I hate to hear this, being I have a thrift store, I have computers out my ass. Dell workstations with 3GHZ HT cpus and more, I'm will to send you one for free, you pay the shipping.

I guess being is such a large city that seems to be very wasteful I have many, many PC's I collect from other thrifts as well, the PC I'm using CM1630 http://www.asus.com/Desktops/Essentio_CM1630/ that only needed the hard drive, I picked this PC up for $14.95 plus tax..
