Hello Modzzz, thanks for this update but i still have problems :

- On location/Home the map display no pointers for the locations i added, the search form above produce no result when i search in a city relative to the locations i added.

- On location/Home the map display automatically by default the user position, zooming on the city, how to set up by defaults the informations i filled in the module's setting panel (default country for location, default latitude, default longitude, default zoom ) ?

- Since the update on locations/view pages, the map has disappeared ...

Ive tried to reinstall the Location module, but theses problems are still there. If you can help me to fix theses problems.

I deleted a Location and the review is still up. It displays the review and the Location displays "Location:" since it does not exist anymore. How can I delete this review?

Suggestions To Improve Module:

- Have way for admin to delete reviews

- Have Members reviews block on members profile page

- Have Review and Reviews Block for all Accommodations, Food, Nightlife, etc.

- A block for getting advice, replies, and recommendations and this block be searchable.

- Change fan block so "Been Here" is first.

As I think of more I will list them.

Also, to note I was having wrong map display but I re-entered the address more appropriately for example I entered "12 & Boardwalk" and a google map of Texas displayed. Then I re-entered it as "12th Street and Boardwalk" and it was perfect.

Does anyone know what code in the language key I could enter where it would dynamically display the location name? For example instead of saying just "Photos" it would say "Photos For Las Vegas" or "Photos For Orlando".

Another Suggestion:

A Fans Block for all Accommodations, Food, etc. pages.

Of course other members are going to want to say they been to this hotel or been to this club etc.

Also, the title of the pages should reflect the sub categories as well. For example: "Hotel Name" - "Location Name" as the page title. This is much much better for seo.

 Good deal. I think it was a really smart move to allow any member to add sub-sections (event, nightlife etc.) to a location. By doing this it allows eash location to be built upon by other members. If I went to this city and did not see my hotel was on the list I could add it and review it. This is a big deal with growth and should help buyers of this mod. :) Thank you. and thanks for fixing the reviews issue :)

This is a great mod from Modzzz, but I have some further suggestions for the Roadmap of the Locations - Events+Hotels+Transport+Eateries+Nightlife Mod

Further Suggetions For This Mod:

- Have Members reviews block on members profile page

- Have Reviews Block and Actions Link for all Sub-Sections (Events, Food, Nightlife, etc.) ***Important Feature That Is Needed***

- A block for getting advice, replies, and recommendations and this block be searchable.

- Change fan block so "Been Here" is first or have option of which links appear in this block header  (A lot of people do not want people to know they are not home for security reasons). This should also reflect in the actions block links.

- Better page titles in header for improved SEO for Sub-Sections (nightlife, events, etc.). Currently it on has Title Main Section /Title. Where it should have Title "Hotel Name" - Main Section /Title or Title "Eating Place Name" - Main Section /Title

- Way to create and publish your own Sub-Sections and fileds and disable unused ones. For example I do not need "Schools", but I need a "Things To Do" Sub-Section enabling and disabling would also reflect actions block links.

- Option if you want your profile image link to display in the Info block of Sub-Sections.

- What would really be awesome is an AJAX seach results box for when leaving a review it has a dropdown of the Main Section or Sub-Section as you type it in. This goes the same for a reccomendations block.

- Major Suggestion.... The user Evandromar has a mod to AJAX search through friends. I think you should have something very similar for locations as well and all sub sections. Along with a search locations block for the home page.

Modzzz, if any of the above are not in the roadmap for this template please contact me for custom work that can be replicated after each update of the mod. I am trying to move quick on this and any timely responses (in this forum or in a pm) would be greatly appreciated and thank you for all your hard work on the mod.

More Local Locations block - This lists other Locations located in the same City as the Location being viewed.

This block is not working for me. Anyone else having this issue. Had not been using it. Just enabled it and is not populated with any location withing the same city. Are sub-section locations supposed to display here or only main location pages? Please advise.

Also found in the header of the More Local Locations block on "Locations View Page" the top link displays _modzzz_location_caption_browse_local RSS. I tried making a language key with category "Modzzz Location" Cleared cache and recompiled the module and there was no change??

Installation failed :

Encountering problems since days...to make work this module, (no map display on Location's view pages since the first update), I decided to start from zero,removed all contents and the database, and make a new installation of dolphin 7.0.6. Everything work. But now when i try ton install Location 2.0.2 i have this error :

I enabled the block on your site and it is now working. Some adjustments are being made to this feature for the next update. Eg. presently it doesn't check state along with the city etc.

I tried changing the language key inside the Map block on page main and it will not let me. Text(key) that I am trying to change is

"What are you searching for?"  I want to make it say something else, but the key just reverts on its own. Anyone?

Explain how you are going about changing the key.

 I got it working. It must have been something I had done before even though I was recompiling and clearing cache. It is good now. I changed _modzzz_location_map_search_what and the changes are now displayed.

Not working... the location you add (Davie Florida) display a map but when a user add a new one, no display... Same problem using the admin account.

Ive tried with US and FR adresses, same problem.

Google seems to have some block on your site. Google will not geocode your data (not sure why). I have installed the default Profiles Map module on your site and it doesn't work either.

Another thing. I noticed that it does not what page you are on in a sub-section. Even if you prob have 25 sub-section pages to a mian section the page source code metadata still reflects the metadata of the main page. For SEO reasons this should be addressed because this displays duplicate titles, descriptions, and keywords on multiple pages. (Frowned on by search engines) Can this be adjusted in the next upgrade?

I was under the impression this module was closely associated with the default Events or your Ultimate Events module.  Please add a feature to allow members to find past and future Events that are associated with an added location.  

From the Ultimate Events modules, please allow a location from your Locations mod to be associated with an event.

Is there any thoughts on incorporating the coupon module into the locations so that a player in the location arena could also post a coupon with there prescriptive business? If there are part of a location and offer any type business that costs money they should be able to post a coupon at their leisure... a coupon generated with your coupon module...

To localize the mod to Spain only, you will have to get this done as a custom job. Send me a private message. I assume you already have a list of the provinces and towns.

Maybe I'm completely being a newbie here but do I have the ability to create my own categories instead of hotels, eateries, nightlife etc? Everything looks great but those categories will definitely not work for me. Also, has anyone had luck turning this into a mobile app? I previously have used Ultimate Events & Locations which was less than stellar on the web but the mobile version worked great. Thank you!!

 The Categories are fixed. You would have to get it customized to replace with your own.

I have installed and uninstalled this mod several times and still cannot make a head or tail out of it. The categories school, hotel, nightlife etc, are no where in the list of categories. They cannot be found  anywhere except when you add a location and click on it. So you have to create another group of categories. If you move the block and add them as sub menu in the Navigation bar, the links cannot be found. My understanding before the purchase of the mod is that it is a location mode withe hotels, nightlife, transportation, accomodation as sub categoriies, but I guess I'm deluding

The product description does not mention these as sub-categories so I am unsure how you came by that understanding. It was clearly stated that these are sub-sections. I quote from the product description below :

After a location is posted, any member can add sub-sections (accommodations, nightlife etc.) to it.

I am not sure the difference between sub-sections and sub-categories. But where are they? You cannot add locations to them.

I am stillot making sense out of this. A location is posted, then a member can add a subsection to the location?

This mode is advertised as follows:

Eg, Member adds a location called "Miami"

a) The member can then add a Restaurant which is located in Miami

b) The member can also add an Event taking place in Miami ... etc.

So on the 'Miami' location page, you will see action buttons allowing you to add Restaurants, Events etc...

You will also see sub-menus on the 'Miami' location page that allows you to view all Restaurants, Events etc that are in Miami.

You should only be doing that if you are integrating the mod with my Points module. I do not see where you have purchased the Point module so avoid running the sqlpoints.php

I have fully patched the module to 2.0.9.
However, I have these problems (I include also 4 attachments).

1. It keeps writing onload="load();searchLocations('http://ilkdom.com/m/location/');"on the very top of the page.

2. In Locations - Home, Search Locations block has some problems with overflow, it seems to be hidden, the tabs where you write your searches.

3. In the same Location Home page, Map block isn't displaying a map, neither the search works, when you try to hit Search button. According to GoogleMaps API page, "the API keys generated by this page are no longer available". Is this a reason for map not showing up and if it is, how can it be resolved?

4. Once inside a posted location, map isn't working/displaying again.

5. In the same view page of any given location, Share block and Facebook comments are having problems with the block size - in any case, part of the content is cropped out. (I have just added Fb API in admin so haven't really tested if the comment uploads to Fb yet).

P.S.: Just for clarification, I have Google API in the Location admin settings, of course.

These are not typical problems with the mod. They are caused by javascript conflict with other components installed on the site. For example, the share block is conflicting with the addthis buttons at the bottom of the page because the share block is also an addthis implementation. For the maps issue, your site would have to be specifically troubleshooted to determine what is causing the conflict.

I'd say troubleshooting is what I had on my mind, unless it means giving you an access to the admin area.

Search Locations block on Locations Home is displaying right, when I've moved it into the middle column. This means the block is not resizing according to column size. If this is not typical problem with your mod, then I stop using spoon and start eating with my hands only.

Further, I've tried de-activating all blocks on the Location Home, leaving just the Map block on, with no luck, map is not working, or to be correct, it is not displaying. Neither the search does anything on this block. I even thought about uninstalling and re-installing whole mod, but when I looked at Google Maps API page, like I described earlier, there is apparently no API key as such in use anymore. Thus, I have no idea how to proceed if I install your mod anew and what I would write in the Google API admin settings - that's why I haven't done it and contacted this forum.

So, this looks quite typical an error to me, and even if I have not the ability to write my own mod, this seems pretty logical to me - I got your mod in version 2.0.7, it worked, then the maps stopped displaying and while I tried updating the mod to 2.0.9 I've noticed Google Maps API had some new policy so I couldn't even get some other API key, just to see if it corrects the problem.

For "onload="load();searchLocations('http://ilkdom.com/m/location/');", something similar keeps displaying when I access Forums mod, and your Locations mod. This is beyond my ability to correct so I hope it helps you a bit to find out what can be the problem or how to stop it from displaying to all members...

P.S.: World Map module uses the same Google API key, so there can't be a problem, with the keys.

 This client site had a problem with the header file which was improperly modified. The issue was resolved.

Please look at the attachment - I need to get rid of that too long member username underneath a thumbnail, it de-aligns the whole block. I've tried a bit of damage limitation myself but I hope you shall succeed where I've failed, lol.

Downwload the mod again and replace these files then clear cache.
