Here I am trying this module. It seems to me that something is wrong.

In admin setting parameters Maximum search distance: 150

in setting member 30

Why not Members Within 150 km of baloo? it should be 30 I think.

Otherwise, great job as usual.

The inconsistency mentioned above is resolved. Re-upload the modules\modzzz\locals\classes folder.

I have a very strange problem. Local members this morning in Top section of the site has disappeared, she came back I do not know by what miracle at the end of the day, and then it disappeared again.

I just realize that the display on the page blocks disappear as account and profile. A modzzz idea? I know this is really strange ... :-(

The problem seems to be a conflict with ZIP Search module. When the bar disappears when I disable this module and it reappears instantly.

The problem is that when the search result is not just the point of view distance ... which makes sense since the next note, it depends on him... :-)

I installed the program and everything is working correctly, but the local members thumbnails were showing a a rather decent resolution, then have shrunk to 32x32px. Where can I find the setting to control the size of the pictures in the header display?

In the Admin settings for the mod there is the option 'Show small icons in Top section block'. This is turned off by default so someone had to manually activate it.

 Never mind, I found the small icons setting in Admin panel. This is an excellent program and does great, just one setting missing.. the "SEE MORE" link should be able to toggle which view (simple or extended) should be shown by default. I personally like the extended view for a matchmaking site.

I hope you can add google maps api or other gps for members near you, great for mobile. Thanks.

 Yes, once you have entered valid zip codes.

Local Members module is now compatible with Dolphin 7.2 . For those upgrading from Dolphin 7.1, please check the upgrade folder for instructions.

In the profile Edit for the Edit Local Search settings, can this support looking for Couples? Maybe a check box?

In other modules you designate MM couples, FF Couples, MF Couples, as well as just male and female (singles). It would be excellent to present consistency across all modules for a better user experience

Only the "Meeting" related modules have MM couples, FF Couples, MF Couples etc. This cannot be implemented in other modules that are directly checking the Profile information for Couple status because Dolphin couple feature does not support those variations.

The installation procedure has been updated so that the Local members preferences for all Profiles is initialized upon installation. Members can always update their individual preferences in their Profile preferences page.

hi guys, how can i add it to the main menu so that when you search people there would be an option to show locals? when i'm trying to make it through the builder in administration, there's no item to add so i need to create a new one and i don't know what to fill in the lines. and also how can i add this locals module to Search people page? thanks a lot!

Adds ability for members to hide themselves from showing up in local listings.

I installed today on fresh install. Everything seemed fine I could see the local members search but now I can't find anything about local members anywhere on the site. 

We changed Themes so this module will work better but like baloo I dont have it set to 30km in fact I have it set to miles and it shows "Members within 30 Km of PolyTrotting  " how can I resolve so it shows 50 Miles?

Where do you have it set to 50 miles ? In the Admin settings for the module or in the Preference settings for PolyTrotting ?

There seems to be a problem with "default metric" in Local Members - Administration. I had miles by default even if it was set to km. It sounds like it's the opposite in msithero.

To have the default kmls in BxLocalsModule.php I have replaced

$aMetricOptions = array(
            'miles' => _t('_modzzz_locals_metric_miles'),
            'km' => _t('_modzzz_locals_metric_km'),
        );

By

$aMetricOptions = array(
            'km' => _t('_modzzz_locals_metric_km'),
        );


Like that I have km by default. I did not bother you with this little problem because the miles are enough for me.

What is happening here is that you are changing the Admin settings but this does not override the settings for individual members. Upon installation of the module, all members will be updated with the default values that the module has. I will add an extra option in the settings to allow administrator to update all existing Profiles with the values they configure after installation.

Adds ability to override existing member preferences after changing default metric and distance in the settings.

Also, issue mentioned by baloo above is fixed.

I recently installed Local Members mod and have the following issues:

The "Preferred Age" slider doesn't work in the edit profile page (there are no numbers and the slider doesn't slide)

There is no default metrics for Gender in admin settings. (auto set to female in profile page)

Account and Profile blocks do not display showing local members (there are 3 local members)(I have added the blocks to the pages).

The local members block at the top section of the site doesn't display (I have ticked the option in settings).

This has now changed. 

It seems that the admin can see all of the features but the user cant.

The age slider doesnt work in either case on the edit profile page and settings page.

But slider seems to be working on a new account?

I have just discovered in the database table "modzzz_locals_preference" that in the age column the age: 18-75 wasnt being changed by older profiles. Instead it showed: @sStartAge-@sEndAge

When I changed it to 18-75 the slider worked on the profile page. It did input 18-75 for a new profile thoug.

Although theabove issues still stand.

1) Check the membership actions to see if 'Locals  - show local members' is activated for all your membership levels

2) The module defaults Male profiles as having preference for Females and vice versa.

3) The issue with wrong Age setting upon installation will be resolved in an upcoming patch.

Fixes issues with improper initializing of Profiles upon installation of module.

Don't work after installation.

No block in page. Nothing appear

@Artualite - There are several reasons why the block may not show. Check the forum posts above for some enlightenment. Firstly, check that the feature is enabled in the membership level settings. Secondly, confirm that there are actual members to match the local preferences of the logged in member.

On admin account I'm showing members from other countries as being within 100km of me. Please help. Update: Now no members are showing at all.

 Does your last update mean that the issue is resolved now ?
