Please post your URL in this thread and be sure to report any bugs or issues your users (or you) find in the appropriate forum threads..

As a suggestion, also let he owner of the URL know of any bugs you have found in their particular installation so that they can determine whether it is a problem on their end or with the Beta release.

Here are the first two URL's

http://www.demozzz.com/dolphin7a/ - Official Demo Site

http://northcoasthost.com/hookie - ZopfWare/Intelliweb Hosting Demo Site (anyone wishing admin access please contact me and I will provide it)

Isn't this just a listing of URL's that we're not supposed to have up?  Basically spamming the forums?  Not sure, but think this is what they don't want in the Unity Forums.

If you post your site url on Boonex.com, you'll be sorry.  It's like inviting every spammer on earth to join your site.

My opinions expressed on this site, in no way represent those of Boonex or Boonex employees.

Houston,

Yeah I guess that is a possibility, but then that would enable us to test out all the autorization emails and things of that nature that are supposed to be in D7 to prevent spammers eh?

I just thought with people "casually" or could it be "causally" (if u get the meaning) dropping all these links to their demo sites in various forum posts for testing purposes or to give others access to their sites to "fix" or "test" them, that we could just have one place for them to do so.

I'm not particularly worried about spammers, as the link I posted is a temporary demo....not permanent.  However, I guess there are people who are putting the demo software on the only domain they have available (or the one the plan to use live....

so... I guess the phrase "Caveat Emptor" or "Caveat Posteri" would be appropriate on this thread.

Then set your moderation to require approval of new accounts.   A while back, I posted my url here, and someone commented on a different post - without saying my name, that she was shocked that someone had recently posted a url here, and also warning about all the horrible things that could happen.  It is possible, I suppose - occasionally you get some very smart developers here who also aren't exactly the picture of perfect mental health - and if they dedicated their efforts to hacking your site, I'm sure they could do some damage. The systems we are building, however, have to work in the real world anyway.  Its probably better to find out sooner rather than later if there are going to be any issues.  In any event, Zopware was only proposing that people post links to their test sites - as I have done several times.  In my case, none of my test sites really work anyway - so if a hacker or spammer gained access, they would just be gaining access to something that is already broken - hardly any danger there.  Personally I am happy that people seem less paranoid lately and are posting links to their test sites and also to their live sites - I think that is a good thing.
