Link to a Blog Category

I want to link to a blog category and show all posts oft this category. I´ve tried these combinations without success

modules/boonex/blogs/blogs.php?category=CATEGORY NAME

modules/boonex/blogs/blogs.php?action=show_category=CATEGORY%20NAME

The post adress is always with the username in the adress. Can anyone give me a hint?

Try /m/blogs/category/CATEGORY%20NAME

This is interesting, seems that Boonex did not incorporate this feature.  We can browse categories for photos but not for blog posts.

Categories in blogs are different from other categories - they are for particular user only.

So the link to blog category must include username:

http://demo.boonex.com/blogs/posts/{USERNAME}/category/{CATEGORY}

For example:

http://demo.boonex.com/blogs/posts/Kangaroo/category/Rainforest

Hi guys,

Hope I've got correct thread, but I've got the weirdest situation yet and I can't seem to find out what's causing it.   In my Dolphin setup, it seems that the administrator is the only one that create and view blogs.  What makes it even more interesting is that guests can view entire blogs [although can't create] and members can't view blogs at all.  Members cannot view or create blogs.

I'm quite sure this is not the design, so anyone have an idea as to what might be causing this?  I've gone over member access numerous times, checked the pages, checked the module.  I've even removed my Page Access Control just reduce all possible factors, and still members cannot even view blogs.

What I'd like to do is give members the ability to create blog content just as they can with video and images.  Can someone kind of point me in the right direction as how to do this.  I'm still pretty new to Dolphin and not completely familiar with all the functionality.

Thanks

Solution

Okay guys, don't anyone laugh, like I  said I'm still getting acquainted with Dolphin.  But here's the story in a nutshell for anyone else that may encounter this.

A discrepancy occurred when members would attempt to access or create video, blogs etc.  They were basically locked out of everything.  This was because they were not fully activated.  Even though they had been approved via automated process (email link), they still have to be physically activated by the administrator.   It's a little tricky because you might think they're already activated being they have a profile page and all and can long on, but that's just part of it. They still have to be activated.

So anyone having trouble getting member access to blogs, video, etc. [view and/or creation] check to be sure they have been activated in the member dialogue of the admin panel.

Cheers!

This I did not know.  I turned off allowing members to create categories.  However, if I can turn it on just for the Blogs and allow each member to only see the categories in the drop down they create, then that would be much better as most members blog in a particular category; they could just see the few that are relative to their blog.
