If you have changed your domain, you need to reset your license here first. http://www.boonex.com/market/licenses

Once reset if it still does not take check the license here and see if it registered to your domain. If not then your server has a problem talking to the boonex licensing server. Common cause would be the php option for allow_url_fopen is not on.

Interestingly enough, no licenses show.... :)

I definitely own a license I bought the lifetime license for 7.0 something...

I have the same problem on a new installation of 7.1.

My purchased license says Unregistered but Dolphin won't take the number when I paste it in. The entry field just goes blank.

I think that allow_url_fopen is a system variable in recent versions of PHP. It doesn't appear to be something we can change on shared hosting accounts.

You will have to talk to your host. You should be able to change it unless your host has deliberately prevented it.

Unless your site can communicate with boonex, it cannot register the license.

On some shared hosts, you can add a php.ini to your root; it will cover all subdirectories.  As Dean said, contact your host provider and they can help you.

I suggest everyone stay away from GigaPros shared servers then.

Here's the response I got when I made this request:

We would like to inform you that turning on "allow_url_fopen" is very risky and dangerous.

It may allows PHP's file functions to retrieve data from remote locations such as an FTP server or web site, and could lead to code injection vulnerabilities.

For security reasons to prevent “PHP include” hacker attacks  the "allow_url_fopen "and "allow_url_include" PHP directives  is set to be off. If you want you may use the PHP Curl library to do so instead, which is more secure for this please contact your developer regarding it .And you can refer also the below link for it :

Note: Disabling this function will help considerably in stopping your site(s) from being compromised.

If this is true, it seems very irresponsible for BoonEx to make you open up a security vulnerability to use your paid license.

I'm happy to report that GigaPros stepped up and turned on "allow_url_fopen" on my server. Then they even entered the license for me (I had previously given them the number for testing).

I can't say much about the website speed yet, but their email support is amazingly responsive. I was actually slower in replying than they were.

I think I may have chosen the right host, after all.

Been a long time since I used a free License but If I remember right free licenses never expired and would show the "license expire never" message. I bought some Standard licenses back in 2006, stopped using dolphin around 2009 and never logged into boonex till a month ago. When I log in to my account and click on manage licenses. They are all listed there even the free ones from 8 years ago. Two things I suggest make sure your logging in with the username you used when buying the licenses and are you sure you purchased a license and didn't just get a free one? If you did buy one dig up your receipt and and contact boonex.

I have been under the assumption you were running dolphin 7.1. As that is the forum you posted this in. But your screen shot shows your running dolphin 7.0.8. Please make sure you post in the proper forum. We base our answers on dolphin versions.

We are testing 7.1 for our site, using a free license for the test site and a paid license for the live site.  The upgraded test will not accept the free license.  I suspect we won't be upgrading the live site until we find a fix for this.  I do suspect our hosting provider, Arvixe, will NOT like opening up a parameter that makes the host less secure, but I guess I will pursue this with them. (LOL - I said "I suspect" twice above - guess I am a suspicious person :P )

Just checked in Host Tools - allow_url_fopen IS turned on on our server.  The license I am trying to use is listed on my Boonex page.  Unless we can solve this, I really don't see how I could make a decision to upgrade the live site if it won't accept the paid license.  Are there other things I should check to see why the license is not being accepted?

There is no fix because it's not broken. Dolphin 7.1 does not accept free licenses. The free licenses have been eliminated. You cannot even generate new one here on boonex anymore. They are no longer used.

Dolphin is fully operational without a license.

Below is the legacy version of the Boonex site, maintained for Dolphin.Pro 7.x support.
