Licence re-use for another domain/site

Hi,

I bought an Enterprise licence late last year and have a few questions before I start using them.

The reason of my purchase is to do experiments and pilot projects in the social networking and micro-blogging domain.

It means that many of the projects I will start with these licences, including mobile app licences, may not pass the pilot phase.

It also means I'll certainly need to install Dolphin with its licence and create the mobile appz associated with one site, then if the project doesn't look feasible stop everything and re-use the same site and mobile app licence on another site with a different domain.

I'm of course not talking about selling the licence or anything like that, the licences will still be under my responsibility but there may be several occurences of pilot sites using the same licence.

I'd like to know if there's anything preventing me from using my Dolphin licences in the current Dolphin Licence Policy or licence management features.

My two last questions are about the 3 installations by Boonex offered in my Enterprise pack :

- How do we trigger an installation by Boonex

- Can we send a Virtual Machine Image (with the OS and pre-requisites ready) to Boonex instead of a server access in order to let them perform the installation ?

Thank you in advance for you answers.

Regards.

Alexandros

http://www.boonex.com/websites/licenses

You can reset a license from there.  Resetting the license will remove the domain attached to it, allowing you to reuse it on another site/domain.  Keep in mind that it's still one license per site/domain.

You can request the installations from there (it will create a free, general support ticket).  You'll have to ask BoonEx about the virtual machine stuff.

Thank you Nathan for your answers.

So if my understanding is good, each licence is for use with one domain only but one may disable it and reenable it with another domain as many times as he wishes. One license just can't work with two domains simultaneously.

What about the mobile apps ? Is it working the same way ? If I generate an app and post it on the app store then I realize my project won't work for some reason, can I just shut down my site, reset both site and mobile app licences and point the mobile app to another activated domain without needing to get a new license ?

Thanks.

Alexandros

Below is the legacy version of the Boonex site, maintained for Dolphin.Pro 7.x support.
