I'm hoping this is the support forum, because I need help!! If I'm posting in the wrong place, just let me know where to post instead, kthnx.
1. How long does the bid stay active? It says that bids are reassessed every X minutes (where X is what you set it to be, it's 2 by default). However, the game doesn't seem to actually reset or reassess bids in that time, instead it just continues to escalate until it's too high for anyone to bid and the last bidder just stays at the top forever. How can I get it to reset after this happens?? And even better, how can I get it to do this automatically so that I don't have to constantly monitor the game??
From experimenting with it, if it is set at 2 minutes (the default) - then the first bidder who bids stays as King of the Mountain for 2 minutes and then it removes them. Since that was too quick to get a bidding war going (which is the point of the game!), I reset it to a higher number. That worked to solve that problem. However, it appears that the number of "bids" that the user places is multiplied by the X minutes to determine how long the user stays (??? I think this is how it works, it is all very unclear???) .
So my question is: does the Number of bids they place cover not only whether they are taken to the top of the Mountain, but also how LONG they'll stay there?
2. And on the bidding/betting, is it cumulative? I've been playing it w/ my admins to work out how exactly it works and to be leader I have to bet 2 bids but someone who just joined has to bet 26 bids? If so, when does the cumulative nature clear out and level the betting field again?
3. Also it says "you are now a leader" insead of "the leader" - is that just a translation issue? Or is there somewhere that all of the leaders past and present are listed or something?
4. And, finally, when it says "you need X number of bids to be a leader" and the person bids that amount, about half of the time it will tell the user "you are now a leader" but it doesn't make them King of the Mountain. If they bid 1 more, they become King of the Mountain, but no where does it tell them that they need to do that, so it just ends up looking like it isn't working. Shouldn't the bid that the game recommends be the one that takes them to the top of the Mountain instead of just taking them NEAR the top of the Mountain?
I really need to know how this game works in order to explain it to my members ... right now we're just all confused and my answers of "ummmmm.... dunno," aren't really working!.
