Just wondering

With all the questions regarding 7.3, Trident, and Chat+ - why are you (Boonex Team) worried about and making changes to this forum. Nothing is wrong with this forum for the most part and you are constantly changing things just as we get used to your new changes.

I have no idea if this has anything to do with it, or even if 'this' is a thing.

I use a few different platforms, and it seems that all are changing their forums right now. I think 2 went live with a new forum today.

Idk what, if anything, was 'wrong', but they are touting a 'new and improved' forum system coming. Don't know what is new and improved, but also don't care as long as I can post. I seem to remember one mentioning better security and organizationon back-end.

I suppose they need to keep their site up-to-date so they can sell more. Which is completely normal.

so much to do....

it just gets confusing - at least for me. One day I have to click help and a section opens and i click forums - now you click help and it completely opens a whole new page. I was not expecting this so it through me offguard - but this happens quite frequently.

They are ignoring the old adage, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

Now we click three times to get to the forum, once on the lines, then on Help, then on Forums

We're experimenting. Making changes, running A/B tests. It's like a new toy. Once we master it, we'll start A/B testing Dolphin pages, too. Good times! :)

Where's search bar now? How would new people search for the modules, offers and forums? The one at the page top have disappeared and now it's not obvious. Still looking for search.

Why do I have mobile "burger" menu button when opening the website on my laptop?

Why the Market search bar disappears after the first search? If I want to search again, I have to click Menu > Extensions again in order to make a new search?

The search bar is now in the breadcrumbs menu at the top of the page. In regards to Extensions (Market), once you click on Search and type in say "Games", it will bring up extensions related to games. Look on the left hand side of the screen and you will see Filter. Click it and you can search for another type of extension without leaving the page and without clicking on Menu > Extensions...etc.

Hope this helps.

Thanks, found it. But for the global website search it doesn't work. Anyhow, all these filters and menus are definitely not usable. Imagine let's say Google Search with all these slide-menus and clickable stuff. I would be tired to search and re-search what I need. User must use his keyboard mostly, not moving mouse. Not even speaking about people with disabilities.

I used to make websites for people with the special needs and they had to be as obvious as possible, without all these fancy-pancy slide-drag-drop-pull-menus which are usable only if you have limited space on the screen.

I have 24" monitor and I have to click a "burger" button designed for 3.5" mobile devices in order to see the site menu which could fit nicely just at the page top. Why in the world?

Also on responsive (mobile screen width) view on the Market page clicking on the offer icon doesn't do anything. On PC it shows popup where you have to click another button in order to see the module page. It's pretty annoying.

Imagine choosing a pair of jeans in the store and before you take them in your hands the salesman interrupts you and showing a booklet with some "useful" info. What you want? Right — to touch the item you want to buy and unfold it to see immediately to not waste time. Not to read a booklet.

Because Boonex is following the lead of dumbing everything down for a tiny screen; ugly icons, large fonts, etc.
