Sometimes I receive this question:
"You know Dolphin very well, how is that possible? You are new here!".
So here begins my story:
I am not new here, and probably I am one of the older boonex members.
I have begun using Dolphin as any other normal customer when Dolphin was at version number 6!!
I remember Expertzzz.com, eheheh, what a cool place.
I was a normal customer, I have bought a lot of applications from AntonLV, Scriptologist and many others.
I have seen so many people in these years.
One Day I have decided to become a designer. No more a customer, but a designer.
I have begun to design some little things for Dolphin, and then templates.
I have studied Jquery and a little of PHP.
I have been in collaboration with some great designers here too.
Then something changed again.
I have decided to open a real company.
I have bought a rack in a data center and I have begun to sell hosting and applications for Boonex.
My ID was JOOsocial, probably many of you know this old account.
My work was going in a GREAT way.
I have sold many applications, and I have also given many applications for free.
But then, something happened.
My dedicated machines were attacked by a fake spanish bank! All the websites my company was hosting were attacked. In just three days my entire company was DOWN!
I have replaced the company for THREE times, but nothing. I was not able to do anything. My company was totally destroyed. I had to refund each customer, and it costs a lot, about 10.000 EUROS in less than 3 days.
Maybe some customers still need a refund, I do not know, I have lost all the detail after my company was destroyed, so if someone is still waiting for a refund, I am here, just ask, you will be refunded, but I am pretty sure I have refunded each customer.
I fell into depression, and I decided to give up with Dolphin and with this job.
I fired my programmers, my server administrators, my designers, and I have never opened my Boonex Account again.
Then I have decided to begin again, but with something simpler, no hosting, nothing..but I was alone, no programmers, no designers, noone, everything to do again, but this time, alone.
I have tried for about 5 or 7 days, I have putted some applications in the market for free, but I did not realize they were not updated, and I was not able to update them all alone, and so, again, I have closed the boonex account.
I have seen some people looking for me in the forum, what nice community you are.
But I did not have the strenght to communicate with anybody, I was here, but just looking, nothing else.
I leaved this job for over 115 days, but then something happened.
I have found new great collaborators, I have found new designers and so on.
Everything was possible again!
I have opened a new company, YobiLab.
I have asked to AntonLV if was possible to change the name of my account from JOOsocial to YobiLab, but Anton says it was not possible, and his advice was to just open another account.
I have done so, and here I am.
I am not doing any design work or php work at the moment, I am just the founder and sales administrator of YobiLab.
I am not selling hosting services for boonex, as you may see. This is not because I do not trust in Dolphin, but because, you know, there is still a lot to do. I want to be ready before thinking about selling hosting for Boonex. Maybe I will never do that again, I do not know.
The fake spanish bank that were stealing credit card detail from the web sites of my clients, seems gone, or I hope that.
I am now selling hosting services only for italian people. Well if you go to my website, you will see the hosting services in english too, but I will switch them off, the hosting services will be available only for Italy.
Now I am proud to have three GREAT programmers, one GREAT designer, and some good collaborators.
JOOsocial was one of top boonex traders, over 1000 points.
I hope I can get them back, but it's not important, if I won't, well, I will get new points by providing new good apps and support.
But you know, 1000 points = 1000 days of work..
What I do now is only providing support for free by the forum, my programmers work for custom jobs and for some modules will be released soon,and I am SO happy now.
I see there are still many great boonex members, such as Houston,DosDawg, Magnussoft, Sashae and many others. Good job guys.
Here I am, this is my story.
I want to share this with you for only one reason.
Because I am having a lot of congratulations from you all, new great customers, new good jobs and so on.
I just want to say I love this community. I have made stupid errors in the past, but I was new in hosting services, and I did not know it is SO difficult. But I have taken all my responsibilities.
So what I do now for Boonex is providing free support, good custom jobs, good modules(very soon), and management services.
Do not ask for hosting services to host your Boonex site, or probably I will fall in depression again! =D
