 Hi all, I know most dolphin sites seem to end up as "adult content" or "dating" sites but just for my own interest, has anyone else built or attempted to put together an "industry focused" social media experience? For example sites built around the automotive industry, travel industry or estate agency / real estate etc?

A lot of sites are more successful if they serve niches rather than trying to be "the next Facebook". I can already say we host a number of sites like that. With the built-in modules (which may be all you need) and also what's available in the market, those kinds of sites are definitely doable.
