Just Curious

I like the idea of improved "registration by invitation" security coming in version Dolphin 8.  Is there any general idea of when version 8 will be released?  What season of what year, perhaps?

There was some early work on Dolphin 8, but it's been halted to focus on more important stuff, like the current version.  I doubt it'll be out before a long time (2-3 years?), and it will probably be very different.

Depending on how drastic changes are, especially the database structure; there may be no upgrade from 7 to 8
