Join Now confirmation Email

From Admin panel -> Moderation Settings,

unchecked Automatic profile confirmation without confirmation email

The new member is capable to log in before this member click the confirmation link

inside the confirmation email. To my knowledge, this shouldn't allowed.

Besides, click Join Now inside Join In page resulted to blank page.

Click reload displayed Why Join page.

Besides. these two item are confused in Moderation Settings.

Automatic profile activation after joining

- what "joining" means here, click Join Now from Join Page or other and is against

Automatic profile confirmation without confirmation Email.

I haven tested checked and unchecked Automatic profile activation after joining.

To my knowledge, this sounds to be Automatic Profile Activation after Sent back confirmation email.

If it unchecked, after click confirmation link from confirmation email, it said your profile will be reviewed and

activation after 12 hours, and so on.

If checked, it said your profile has been activated.

If Automatic Profile activation after joining is what it means, then once it checked

Automatic profile confirmation without confirmation email should be checked and disabled automatically because confirmation email is not needed.

wolf2217:

Brand new installation for D7.B5 see the same issue as B4.

Checked the B5 bug fixed listing didn't see the ticket no. 985

The ticket is there but has been closed and set to Fixed.
The moderation settings on my end seem to be working well.

User will be logged in but wont be able to do much of anything till their account has been confirmed and activated.
Try accessing the forums, upload a photo, a video, post a blog etc.
Once the account is activated they'll be able to perform those actions.

Hope that helps

That's the same way it works on D6- and it is somewhat counter intuitive.  I believe mrpowless has a fix for it on his blog for d6 - probably have to live with it a while here.

I noticed that some function are blocked, such as create a new group.

If Dx is designed this way, then no comments. I didn't play to much with

D6. To my knowledge, I just thought it should be blocked totally until the

email is confirmed.

Hi guys,

has someone found the way to avoid -not confirmed users- to login the site?

or at last - there is a way to display in any page of the site a message, something like "confirm email to get full access to features"

By now I must admit that is very counter intuitive let unconfirmed users visit site with limitations on features.

They think - Hey, i spent time to register and now i cant do nothing...bah, this site suck :p

Boonex team: Please think about that, i made few friend register and both reported this issue.
