Join By Country!

I have on my website that only the United States can Join but I would like to open up to other countries but I am so afraid that doing this,it might bring back the "PRADA" guy and bots so I am wondering would this be a good idea? has anyone had any problems?

Do a search on how to split your join page or add a open ended question to the join form. I have 7.1.1 and have not seen much new joins from bots after adding a question to the join form. First week had four, after a porn attack, I added the question. Eight weeks later not one, but 50 new members. Now spam using up resources is another  story. Hong Kong was my bain. I just blocked all IPs from there.

Hello thanks for the reply!  Now that I do have a split join page there has been no more "Prada Guy" and bots I was just being cautious because I did not want to deal with that Nightmare again,so I will still have to give it a lot of thought before I take that chance!
