After filling out the join form i click on the join icon but it doesn't redirect me anywhere, no error message, nothing. The icon animates the click but i stay on the same page.

Your join form is crapping on the form field What is 4+5?.

The eval check code you have for that must be generating a error. Either take the field out, or fix the check code.

Yes, this worked, but now after joining as a new member i'm being redirected to a page that says access denied. Then i go to the home screen and see that my new user was added. Is there a way to direct them after joining to their dashboard? please see attachment

it looks like after your members are joining they are logged out of site hence being denied .. if you look, you can see the page being denied is dashboard.

I don't see it. I know that the user gets denied, my question is how do you fix it?

I don't see it.

Do you have the Page Access Control module setup? If so, check the restrictions.

I think his site is logging his members out upon joining Nathan ...

If you look at his image the site says 'welcome guest'  Join | Login  etc etc.

I did think maybe you have email verification setup but then I don't think Dolphin logs members out of site  ... it just restricts things until verified.

 You don't have this ?

This module is provided as standard with Dolphin .... check your modules again in admin panel!

Maybe you just have not installed it but it should be there.

For some reason i can access every page of the site without being verified except for the avatar page.

After join the site is redirecting to the avatar to allow the member to create a avatar. But you have the site setup to not allow access to that page.

Not really sure how you even did that.

Also not really sure why you setup a new site using dolphin 7.0.x when you should be using dolphin 7.1.4 which is the latest version.

EDIT: Turns out it is because i am getting logged out. And for some reason i cannot log back in. I confirmed my email, but apparently also requires admin approval.

But it's the fact i cannot log back in that is weird. It's not normal dolphin behavior.

My guess is that custom Memberships module is see you have installed on your site. It's in your screen shot. And i am guessing it's the reason dolphin is not working normally.

Well, if you don't know what it is, or what it is for. Than the next step is to uninstall that module. Don't run modules if you don't know what they do.

Do not assume he would. If you look at his site, he is running some version of 7.0.x.  Obsolete. Now depending of how old of a version is actually running he could not actually have it. He does of course per his screen shot, but never make assumptions.

the reason why i'm still running the old version is because i have some modules that are not compatible with the new dolphin version

i don't see the custom Memberships module

You have a link on the left site that says memberships.

But i don't really know whats going on. Something is not normal. My new accounts password got changed and i did not do it. The site logged me out. That alone has me stumped. I have no clue why it's doing that.

Looks like you going to need to hire a pro trouble shooter to go into the site as admin and track down the problem.

I think you screwed up how Dolphin is normally meant to act.

Have you been adding modules not meant / compatible for your version ?
