Issues with forum phrases

On a recent clean install of boonex my forum looks like this:

[L[1 posts num]]

Any ideas on how to correct this?

Yes.  You need to compile the forum language keys by visiting the forum page as an admin.  Then go to Manage and you will see the links to compile the language.  This can not be done in the backend, you need to go to the forum page.
