Not sure if this has been discussed at all or if there is a ticket open or a fix; (still searching) or if anyone else is having this issue.
When site url is typed in wrong in IE9 (not sure if other versions as well) the page does not display right (looks like css issues or header)

Could not reproduce the problem. My copy of IE9 displays it properly.

Ok thanks... I didn't really pay to much attention to it but after many different emails in regards to it I just started narrowing it down to browser, ie versions, comps or other. From responses, it seems to be fine on desktops but laptops seem to be the issue (with different ie versions). I checked on my desktops and it displays properly on them but laptop shows what is attached in picture (all running IE 9.0.9), not sure why. Very weird as it happens on all D7 sites I tried on different laptops.
Guess I will be digging around for awhile...

Could be related to the type of tool bars or browser addons. https://www.deanbassett.com |
Was thinking about that, but trying to figure out why the issue is with just the "page was not found". Have not seen the issue on any other page throughout sites.
Thanks for your ideas and thoughts on this..
edit: Looking at source on page, there is no title, <head>, css, etc.. being called.. weird

OK, removed all add ons and tool bar, page works fine now. Narrowed it down to the google tool bar (search bar) which I guess explains why others are having this issue as that tool bar is used by many,
Still not sure why just that page only and a work around. Thanks Deano..

To load that page, dolphin issues a standard php call to pass a header to the browser to indicate a 404 error and a few other headers are passed. My guess is something about the headers which would explain why it's only that page as that page is handled differently than other pages.
The google toolbar has other issues as well. The firefox version for example and it's spell checker does not get along with tinymce. I have had problems with it in the past, so stopped using the tool bar a long time ago.

Oh and good luck tracking it down. A 404 header redirect is used in many locations in dolphin. So coming up with a workaround may not be a simple as you might think.
