I can only go forward one page at a time.
Seems to me I could hit the bottom on the right and it would take me to the last page..
More specifically the button just beside the number 5

@StanCa, that looks normal. I don't have any pages I can test with Dolphin, but with eBay and the like you can't jump to the very last page (say 101), but you can advance to the last page of the group by clicking that page number.
The way it usually works is this: Click 5 and you should go to page 5. That number should appear at the beginning of the new queue: 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10. The >> button can now be used to advance through those pages. With eBay, >> takes you to the next page. By clicking the last page number you advance 5 pages at a time.
May I suggest you try it.
I've always designed sites that way and it seems to be the convention. At least Dolphin allows you to sort by last page first. |
Thanks for responding
I believe I had two buttons there, one to go to the next page and one to go to the last page. Now I can only go one page at a time, and it gets old when I try to go to page 35 ..
Thanks All the best

it should work going to last page - try turning off all caches - clear cache - and see if anything changes.
Also, try different template (uni or alt if using evo or custom template) caredesign.net |
@ ProfessorSr comments are interesting. I agree that the >> symbol can mean "Last Page", but it can also mean "Fast Forward". As you suggest, the sites that allow you to go to the last page quickly usually have a button that says "Last". I have to say it's rare. On my sights which were designed with Clarion, I had a dropdown filter that said "First to Last, Last to First"
Even Gmail doesn't have a "last page " button and I sometimes have to work my way through thousands of emails to find the first in a thread. I'm sure there's a simple way buried in the preferences, but it's a task I don't perform often.
I guess that's what programmers always have to consider - What is overkill? |
I looked at the original image again - and I will correct myself - that set of arrows - from what i have seen before - just means to load the next set of clickable pages - not click to go to the last page. I thought it was a single arrow and a double arrow. With the double arrow and single arrow, then yes the double arrow would mean last and single arrow would mean next page. But what you have is moe of next set of pages. Example: in your image it shows 5 pages to choose from. Clicking the arrow to the right should show pages 6 through 10. I have also seen in some cases where it only advances 1 page forward. I will have to play around and see exactly what it does here as I never paid attention to that. caredesign.net |
