Is the dolphin network dying?

Its been over a year since the last time I came on here. And i must say 7.3.3 is very stable apart from ads not working with https apart from that I am actually impressed.

BUT...

I see no new themes in the market place, no new exciting modules it is like its lost it's sting in it's tail. I am even on the look out for custom work and no replies. :(

Ads should work fine. Make sure an ad blocker isn't enabled - the "ads" URLs and class names can cause problems with them.

A lot of the market is comprised of a few top developers, and they have a lot of excellent stuff and keep them up-to-date and supported. What kind of stuff are you looking for? Maybe somebody will make it if there's enough interest.

As for custom work, where are you posting? The jobs section is technically the go-to place, but it's not heavily checked from what I've seen. Have you tried messaging any developers directly?

I am looking for quotes on an amazon S3 upload extention to photos module (Been so much interest for that in the last 3 yrs) No one seems to want to take it on, I have dropped a few messages to some major players in the mod market though.

The only other thing I need is a few tweaks to the evo theme because there is something on it that caused so much confusion to my members last time around and it needs to change for sure. (I can post a video of my screen to show what I need doing in regards to theme tomorrow).

As for the ads module.. it is in the admin panel the problem. I just get a grey screen and nothing pops up. Im not too worried about ads though as it isn't a major player in my project.

From what I remember, Amazon S3 support is a lot of work. UNA has it because BoonEx had the luxury of being able to rework everything without dealing with backwards compatibility. I'm not sure it'll ever come to Dolphin.

As for ads, that definitely sounds like an ad blocker. Make sure any ad blocker extension is disabled, or have the site whitelisted. That specific issue will happen with almost any ad blocker enabled.
