AndrewP.. I was wondering if you might consider teh following for this most amazing plugin:
Also.... It would also be great if you added the Shoucast requirements, see: http://dev.aol.com/files/SHOUTcast_Branding_Requirements_Nov22.pdf - 'Powered by' Shoutcast logo - Link to the Terms of Service - Link to a DMCA notification - Have a dedicated Radio 'FAQ' page to comply with the Shoutcast requirements |
Hi Andrew, I think the "Remember Station" option needs to save the Station Name & display it somewhere. Displaying a cue of your saved stations would be helpful as I tend to forget which station were saved. I'm with BetaBoy on the favorites request.
Thanks much! |
Thanks for new ideas, I will implement them time by time. Version 1.1.0 released. Also, pay attention to news from Shoutcast: http://dev.aol.com/files/SHOUTcast_Branding_Requirements_Nov22.pdf |
Hi Andrew, What are the changes on the most recent Radio Module release (1.1.0)? Thanks.. |
Changes are: * added necessary headers for AJAX responses (important for IE browsers) * updated information about required re-branding (this step is important now) |
Demo does not seem to be working. However, since ShoutCast was brought by AOL, I have no desire to use it. NOW, and yes, this is a big now. IceCast is still open. Could you write a similar mod that will grab the playlists of IceCast stations and have a webplayer we could integrate into our sites? IceCast is growing all the time and there is a huge list of radio stations on IceCast. And, none of the BS like AOL has with ShoutCast. Geeks, making the world a better place |
Hello geek_girl, Yes, it seems that they don't provide API for radio anymore. Now they work only for themselves. You mentioned 'IceCast', did you mean http://icecast.com/ or http://www.icecast.org/ ? Frankly speaking, I don't like to do similar integrations anymore. Just because it is not so stable (for you and for your customers). I can suggest that you use my own radio module instead. This is much more stable (to be independent). |
