Installing RMS on a WHM server

I have agreed to install RMS on a server; this will be my first attempt at installing RMS so I am agreeing to do it for free as a learning process.  I attempted to shell into the server but got a connection refused.  The server has WHM control panel.  I have limited knowledge of WHM; can I install RMS through WHM and if yes, what is the procedure?

From my experience, a lot of VPS providers change the SSH port to something else (e.g., 2222). Verify the SSH connection details with your client (they may need to consult their host).

I actually do that myself on VPS or Deds. I change the port on my ded every once in a while. SSH is one of the most widely attacked ports for hackers trying to brute force passwords.

I set the port to only allow connections from the IP address the team uses.  For everyone else, they see nothing, no messages; it just drops the connection.

The infamous ssh port 2222 is probably the second most widely scanned port. I love it when a provider says we have additional security measures in place, and what they mean is they have changed the default ssh port 22 to 2222.

Wow...major security enhancements there.
