Installation problems

i have extensively searched the forum for installation threads however all those i found each case is different and none reference to my problem. so here it is: installation does not complete. everything goes well with no errors up to the final step of setting the "Permissions Revesals" and so i reverse all permissions required, i click the next button and it seems to advance to the final stage (where it will instruct to delete the install folder/files); i momentarily see the Boonex logo and it goes blank. i'm running on php5 with lastest apache. can anyone please tell me what i'm missing here? thanks very much. regards.

this appears to be a problem with your servers configuration, or a set of corrupt files. if your server is configured fast-cgi, or suphp, the security hardening would need to be loosened to allow for 777 permissions. need to know how your apache is configured, in order to really assess this situation.
