Installation

Yet another server requirement upgraded needed and my server is very much at it's latest higher upgrades.

It seems every time I try this script (to install it that is) it has requirement issues and we have to keep wasting time recompiling Apache once again. Takes all the joy and pleasure of doing this out.

Lets be honest here, are you designing a script to be used only by a certain group of users/developers or a script that everyone can use and enjoy. There are many free much less resourceful requirement scripts out there which are a breeze to install and use without having to waste time or change hosting accounts to me a single script requirement. I'm one of the lucky ones, I own my dedicated server and do what I please and it's just leaves me to decide whether I want to waste my time upgrading my server at every script install even though I do run an very well upgraded server  it seems trident seems to always manage to find something that doesn't meet it's requirements.

Have fun all.

Cheers

The following PHP modules are required for Trident:

  • php module: mysql = mysql - OK
  • php module: curl = curl - OK
  • php module: gd = gd - OK
  • php module: mbstring = mbstring - OK
  • php module: json = json - OK
  • php module: fileinfo = fileinfo - OK
  • php module: zip = zip - OK
  • php module: openssl = openssl - OK
  • php module: exif = exif - OK

All of them are pretty standard on all shared hosting servers.

What are the requirements which were not met for your server ?

php module: EXIF

Anyway I fixed that problem and got all OK's, did an install and it crashed my whole server. I had my server tech guys look at it to they told me (not know which type of script of was) that one of the plugins was the cause of it crashing my server. That's the first time in 5yrs my servers ever been down.

So I will delete it all and start from scratch and see what happens.

Cheers
