Install new forums module on 7.0.2?

Since the new version of "forums" is a module, would it be safe to install it on a stable installation of 7.0.2?  The reason that I ask is that I need to get a version of my site up with the new forums for demonstration purposes.  Also, it seems like it would be easy to update when 7.0.3 comes out of beta.  What does everyone else think?

Thanks,

Brian

It may work, but there's no real guarantee. I'd recommend making a backup of your site (files and database) before attempting it. If you only want to do it for demonstration purposes, why not just install the beta?

Thanks for the info, Magnus.  When I say demonstration purposes, I mean that I don't currently have forums installed on the site.  I've got some people testing the site right now & I wanted to access to the new forums.

Being that this is a module, surely it wouldn't rely on any specific 7.0.3 features that would prevent it from working properly.  I'll wait a few days and see if the release version pops up.  Otherwise, I'll have to move forward.

I never said it wouldn't work. I just recommended that you backup your site first before doing it.
