Image mayhem.... urgent help needed.....

Hi all,

My site has got busy over the past cpople of weeks and i have members forming groups, business listings, event listings etc.... which should be a good thing... but...

Almost all groups (boonex), events (ue30) and listings (modzzz) are now showing any uploaded images, and some are just showing the small squate wutht he cross thing.... and none of them are showing thumbnails....

My site did not used to be like this and i have no idea why it would just start..... it looks soooooooooooooo bad at a time when I can not make the wrong impression...

It is obviously not the modules at faulte because there are atleast 3 by different developers... Any Ideas what could be wrong????

Regards,

Nathan

I am guessing a caching issue. Try following these steps.

1) Turn off all caching options in dolphin including JS Compression.
2) Clear the dolphin cache manually.
3) Go to the following folder on your server.

plugins\htmlpurifier\standalone\HTMLPurifier\DefinitionCache\Serializer

In that folder you will see 4 other folders.

CSS
HTML
Test
URI

Make sure all of those folders are writable. Mode 777

Then go into each of those 4 folders and delete any files found in them.

4) Clear your browsers cache.
5) Test your site to see if that has fixed anything.
6) Turn caching options in dolphin back on. But leave JS compression off.

Thanks Deano... a valliant effort but no luck...

I did manage to get some photos into a group before I posted... but only cirtain photos... and then this happened.... maybe its a clue..... When I view the group I can see the images that i managed to upload...

These are photos clearly visible within the group i created... but..... when i edit the group there are no photos showing in the admin....

as you can see here in the "edit" group area there are no photos showing....

I am also having problems with listings, events and probably coupons and reviews.....

Any ideas anyone????

Can you make a copy of your current site and roll back to a previous 'working' copy of your site?  Then check to see what the differences are?

I think we have done too much work for a rollback... It's been having similar problems for about a month or more.... I have noticed that I can get some small images to work.... Is there anywhere to set the upload size limit of images??

I may have a clue....

On my main page there is an image that I could not upload into one of my modules with internet expolorer... But with firefox it uploaded first time with no problem.

Is this problem browser specific and if so any ideas???

The only place to limit the upload amount, in the php.ini. This will include videos uploaded but if your thinking that is the problem you should lower it to 2MB maybe.
