IE10 is not compatable in pre-launch!

Just so everyone knows, and being that WIN8 is almost ready for launch, there are some things that IE10 are not compatible with, and IE10 is the default browser with WIN8.

After spending more than 80 hours pulling out my hair, I finally discovered that some of the problems I was having were due to the BROWSER I was using. It appears that the default installation of Dolphin 7 via Cpanel (Arvixe) has problems with JavaScript, especially, TinyMCE. Why it works on this site is beyond me, but on my default installation on two different Arvixe servers, much of the JavaScript does not work. However, when using my Mac and Safari, these issues were non-existent.

Affected users will be anyone using IE 10.0.8400.0
I will be posting this issue on the MDN website.

The real question is why this site is not affected? I am able to use the features on this site with IE10...

There may be different versions of jquery and tinymce between dolphin 7.0.9 and this site. Incase your not aware, this site is not running dolphin. There are differences.

Those versions in dolphin are being updated in the next version of dolphin(7.1.0) currently being developed. Don't ask me for a release date. No one knows the release date.

Dolphin 7.0.9 was released quite a while ago. And Windows 8 and IE 10 are not even out yet and were not available for testing at the time.

This is typical for Microsoft in case you're not aware of it. They do not seem to care about maintaining backwards compatibility with anything. And you should not have been using pre-release software while trying to test other software. Under those conditions you can't tell where the fault is.

However DO NOT attempt to update the jquery library or tinymce to the latest versions in Dolphin 7.0.9 yourself. You will break everything that relies on them.

Agreed... I'm just curious to see how Microsoft responds to this issue. There are tens of thousands of people already using the Beta software, and as far as I can tell, it looks like IE 10.0.8400.0 is going to launch with the final release on October 26th. After that, there will be millions of users in a rather short period of time....
