IE error on page

Hi everyone,

Just wondering if anyone might be able to help here, or if anyone has had the same problem?

When a member wants to join my site with internet explorer, many of them are getting a page error if they try and use the Join button by the top banner, they also get an error if they click the login button, I am not sure when this started happening because it seems to work fine on the computer I mainly use for work. I have since tested it on my two other laptops and I am also getting errors (see below)

Webpage error details

I am paying for a fair bit of advertising and it seems that members who are using firefox are the main ones who are signing up, but the ones using IE are trying to sign up (unsuccessfully) and then emailing to say they can't get in to the site (despite being able to click the other join links).

I am also having a problem with the banner too - where 2 of the banners will load and show normally, but one loads almost off of the page (see screen shot)

Any help would be really appreciated

Cheers

i do not have an answer, other than to concur i am seeing this in 7.0.4 as well with IE. was actually just discussing this with magnusoft, as it seems he was seeking a solution for this same problem.

but seems to me that boonex wants us to submit a ticket on the issue, and not really accept this as some form of bug.

what i have seen work was this, and i know its not a fix, have the user click on the join button or link, then on that page, click on the login, the javascript login box will or has for me appeared using that method.

Thanks DosDawg, I'll put something on the home page for them to click those links instead. Hopefully someone at boonex will offer a solution soon - even though I really like the dolphin software - I am kind of starting to wish I had spent my money on something custom made...

It just isn't good for any of us who are paying out for mods and extra bits along with advertising, to then possibly have to pay a programmer to fix the problem :(

Hope you and Mangusoft find a solution too!

Cheers

I was having this problem on my current site and thought it was something I had done to the theme that caused it to blow up. Now playing around with a fresh 7.0.6 install, this issue is very apparent and a pretty BIG deal if IE8 users are hit or miss on whether or not they can sign up & log in with the dhtml popup.

Has there been a ticket submitted on this bug yet? I don't know how it could have gone missed for so long - granted im using other browsers with no issues but my visitors are largely IE8.
