I've made a mistake, haven't I?

Guys,

Cheer me up here, I'm starting to think I've made a huge mistake buying unlimited licenses for Dolphin, Orca and Ray...

I'm having two main issues, which I've asked on the forums (which I don't expect normal people to be able to help me with), and I've also asked Boonex Support over a couple of weeks now and have had absolutely no response.

All I want to do is change the time on the forums to GMT which I specified in my "Professional" installation, and stop the f_open error on my groups.

But now I'm seeing other things which are alarming me. People are raising tickets for requests or issues (such as youtube embedding) and Boonex staff remove the keywords, change the rating from request to trivial and change the milestone from 6.2 to 6.9. It just shows a worrying trend of not listening to consumers at all.

All I want is a smoothly working forum, and not having huge header errors, and the correct timezone would go a LONG way to helping that, especially after I forked out £148 or (277 USD) for something that's not meeting my expectations and then receiving no support.

Yours,

Glum Thomas of London.

Hi, Don't give up just yet.

I can't answer all your concerns, but I believe the time that you wish to set is dependent on the time set on your server, so you may need to contact your hosting service for this.  I am based in the UK also (GMT) but my server is based in The US, therefore the time is set at the local time for the server set up, not locally.  I believe this can be changed but would be the responsibility of your hosting service.

Hope this helps you.

I did speak to my hosting company, and they said my time zone was set to GMT, which having checked my wordpress blog (also installed on the same server) it is infact running in GMT with no alterations.

On another thread someone told me to add a "SetEnv TZ Europe/London" in my .htaccess file, I'm a novice but I tried this and it made no difference.

So I'm still running on a strange timezone that should have been configured  by Boonex on my "professional" installation, and they've never replied on the subject.

*sigh*

Below is the legacy version of the Boonex site, maintained for Dolphin.Pro 7.x support.
The new Dolphin solution is powered by UNA Community Management System.
