I see my chat has gone yet again......

Surprise, surprise.... As if i didnt expect it, all of my chat rooms have dissapeared yet again.... Now I will spend hours deleting the rooms from my database, re building them and placing the watermark images and setting the permissions... then I can wait a month or two and wait to do it all over again..... Yipeeeeeee.....

When are boonex going to do something about chat? It is the biggest thorn in your sides and no matter how good osho and 8.0 are, without quality chat they will sink like a stone in a flood of highly competetive cms.....

i wouldn't say dolphin will sink without its creapy chat. If it could, it should have already lol

Why don't you spend a one time money on chatcoms it looks good and work well. Atleast its better than every month surprises.

When I look at how much I have spent on Dolphin, and on developers and on custom work and everything else, I do not see why I should be spending money on a third party chat module when all that is needed is for boonex to support those of us that spend many many many thousands of dollars on sites that ultimately line the pockets of boonex and the developers that produce products for their script.

I mean, how hard can it be? All we want is a decent, stable chat system. I know there are improvements in other areas comming along with osho and 8.0 - that is great news, and i really am not being ungreatfull, but I also think its about time boonex addressed what is a rudimetary part of any cms social platform - chat!

Am I wrong people? Maybe its just me?

I am fully aware that I will end up using a third party module at some point. But this is a shame and also a sham. We pay a licence for a working product! This is the point that I am trying to make.

Now I am off to reassemble......

 OMG... you mean the "free" installation version should be bug free... but it's only version 7.0.9 *LOL*

I think you have way more patience then I would have... I'd have moved to a different platform if parts of my Dolphin site were disappearing every month or two. (Lucky for me I'm not using the chat module.)

To be honest, i'm thinking about dropping chat. If it dont work then no point in having it.

Want to try mine for a week and see if the chats remain intact?

I have two communities using the same RMS system, one is losing the chat every few days (only one chatroom, but users still angry when there simply is no  chatroom to chat in) but the other community system runs fine for over a year with the chatroom. So I am not sure it depends on the RMS but if someone has news about it I am quite happy to hear :)
