as what i know, if you want toinstall rms on your own hosting, you should become admin or superuser on you hosting.

if you're on shared hosting then the option is looking for another rms service out there.

SOMEDAYs AGO i found that a user on this unity give us free rms for dolphin , but i forget

Can you confirm that the connection information you entered is correct, or that the media server is running?

If that's the case, then can you verify if the connection information for the media server is correct? Also make sure your domain is in the access.dat file.

Does HostMonster offer VPS or dedicated hosting? I recall them only offering shared hosting.

Well HostMonster doesn’t offer a plan called VPS hosting, but they do offer many of the functions that come with VPS like ssh and im not sure what dedicated hosting is. I called support and they said everything is running fine i just think i didn't install the media server correctly because all i did was upload the folder into the directory and put my domain in the accessdat. but i think i'm missing a step or something.

That explains everything. You also need to launch the media server to use it, which you can't, since you are on shared hosting. You'll have to either switch to a VPS or dedicated hosting plan or purchase separate hosting for the media server.

To install rms you will need vps or dedicated server with root access to the server. You will not be able to do that on shared hosting such as hostmonster. You would need a 3rd party rms provider.

Are you just trying to upload audio / video files? You should be able to do that without rms.

If you are trying to do like chat/im with audio/video then you will need rms.

ok so i will have to use a third party provider since its not vps and the audio and video uploads fine but they wont play and the chat and im thing just keeps loading so do i remove the media folder from my root directory before i get another provider so it can host my audio and video separately. What provider do you recommend i need one with Alot of GB space because im going to be uploading videos like youtube and songs.
