I need a Date!

is there any way to change the date format? In Join its Year/Month/Day

If you go to Admin select members switch to geeky the date shows as Day/Month/Year

If you visit a members profile under Admin Controls the date appears Day/Month/Year

Seems the norm throughout the site is Day/Month/Year

My Question is how do I display the date as Month/Day/Year in the join page and the rest of the site?

While I can not remember where the setting is; will go out and look in a minute; the date settings uses the php date strings.  So if you go out and search on php date format you can find the string you need for setting the date to appear however you wish.

I can not find where you can set the date format; it was present in 7.0.9 in the backend.  Maybe for some strange reason only known to the gods they removed it.  Which does not make sense, it has to be somewhere because different countries uses different formats for dates; so it should be easy to change.

LOL. I could not find them in dolphin 7.1

I have a feeling when they moved settings around when designing 7.1 i think they missed the date format settings.

I'll keep looking but i think boonex screwed up and left them out.

administration/lang_file.php -->settings

OK, as pointed out, it is Language Settings and you have to then click on "settings" and you can change it to how you wish.  As I said, to understand what to put there, just go out to the php.org (I think that is correct) and you can see what the strings should be.

See, part of the problem is that my mind doesn't think in the same way as the developers.  I would not consider date format as part of "language".  For example, The USA uses month/day/year as the default.  The UK uses day/month/year as the default.  However, both countries has English as a language.
