I'm not being notified

When people respond to my forum posts, I don't get an email.  I checked the settings and you do have my current email address listed.  Did this somehow get turned off?

Thanks!

That is an extremely important function that does not exist in Orca.  There is a mod that jtado did whereby a "flagged" topic will send such an alert, however, there are some bugs with his approach and he hasn't had time to get to them.  This is near the top of features I need as it is difficult to build a "community" without it.  Very few people remember, or have time, to revisit a forum to see if anyone has responded to their posts.    I don't often even follow my own forums enought to catch when someone responds.  For low volume sites, I consider this critical.   If anyone has a solution, I would be very interested in knowing about it.

I have a notifications mod that does this ... see http://www.expertzzz.com/Downloadz/view/2333

I heard on another thread that this mod caused a few conflicts- in the private message system I think.  I'll probably buy this or something like it before too long, but I wish this was included in Dolphin/Orca.  I'm getting increasingly concerned about the number of mods needed to make this product work, making an upgrade to the next version incredibly difficult, if not impossible.

Hi,

I am not aware of that problem. Please Point me to the thread.

It was mentioned near the top of this thread: http://www.boonex.com/unity/forums/?action=goto&topic_id=Email-alerts - though I'm not positive that he is talking about your mod.  It seems that an offer of a commercial mod like this seems to stop a conversation in its tracks.  The solution to the problem is to pay someone, and since there are so many mods that do the same thing you never know which one - or how it will mess up other things and block you from upgrading in the future.  That's why I wish Dolphin would just put critical things like this in the product, or people would use this forum in the spirit of open source and publish free fixes to problems like this.   I think Expertzzz is a great market for commercial mods, and I hope Boonex becomes an open source culture to balance it.

The modifications mentioned in that Post does not come from my mod. I am unsure why you assumed that as there is also no mention of me in that Post.

I have decided to participate more in the forums both here and on expertzzz and provide assistance but in cases where a mod is readily available, I will mention it as I am sure there are some persons who do not mind paying to get their problem sorted out quickly.
