I'm Locked Out!! (I think)

Last night I turned on IP blocking and added CN (china).

Today I get home and I can't log in.  Tells me username or PW is wrong.

I try the "forgot password" and I get a new password but it doesn't work.

Here's the clincher....

I tried to sign up as a new alias and it tells me my IP is BLOCKED!!

How do I get back into my admin to turn the darn thing back off??

Have you actually tried to login to http://www.your-domain.com/administration/

?

Yes.  I did a little searching and came across a post that fixed my login problem.

The thing is that I DIDN'T forget my password.  It somehow got corrupted or changed or ??.

I have two other alias's that I cannot log in to.  I'm assuming my other users are going to have the same problem.  I was able to get the IP blocking turned off and then I was able to create a new account.  I'm not sure if one thing had anything to do with the other. But I really need to find out what caused it.  My site is just in it's infancy right now and my few users are personal friends helping me test.  If this were to happen with a LOT of users it would be devistating!

Well... if someone wanted to.. they can just enter your email address in the forgot.php, and it instantly re-sets your password. You'd have to have noticed the email come in with your new password.... however if you don't/didn't have email working, you'd  be screwed... such as in your case, until you found the right thread.

I've complained about this process before, but don't know if Andrew or development acknowledges that it's a problem.
