I know I know Video Sound Upload

Here is my problem, after searching the forum for approximately 6 hours now none of the solutions work. I am sure I missed the fix in all the clutter.

I upload a video or sound file and have to go into the modules>Flash and then either video or sound to activate it. I activate it and I see that a file is there but the time is 00:00 and when I go to play it I get error!file not found.

I even changed

$aErrors[] = (ini_get('allow_url_include') == 0) ? '' : '<font color="red">allow_url_include is On (warning, you should have this param in Off state, or your site will unsafe)</font>'

to

//$aErrors[] = (ini_get('allow_url_include') == 0) ? '' : '<font color="red">allow_url_include is On (warning, you should have this param in Off state, or your site will unsafe)</font>'

This is the email I get so I am sure the cron is setup correctly.

I have no idea what any of this means, I am not using a PHP.ini file and the sounds and video I am trying to upload are all under 5mb. I also have the auto activate set to on and have gon through all the settings.

Thanks

Frank

Have you fixed this issue? I'm having the same issue. If so, what was it? Thanks

Try this: set your videos to auto activate.  Then upload your video and wait until the cron runs and activates the video.  If you force video activation before the cron runs can cause issues.

If you want to force the cron to run, disable the .htaccess in the /periodic/ folder (rename it).  Then upload a video and in your browser type www.site.com/periodic/cron.php  This will run the cron job immediate and see if your video shows properly.

Ok tried what you said. Video still not playing. Tried forcing like you said changed .htaccess and www.xxx.com/periodic/cron.php returned blank page then checked site as well video not showing or playing. Also, got a error from cron

Co to your Admin Panel>Tools>Host Tools and click the phpinfo tab. Does it say that register_globals are ON or Off ?

Nothing to see here
